NAWABSHAH: Man kills wife

NAWABSHAH, July 21: A woman was strangulated by her husband for karo-kari in Ali Murad Kaheri village near Qazi Ahmed, on Saturday. Qurban Ali Kaheri killed his wife Najma on suspicion that she had developed illicit relations with someone. Her body was taken to the Rural Health Centre Qazi Ahmed for post-mortem. Police after arresting Qurban registered a murder case against him.

ROTATION PLAN: The executive engineer of Nusrat Irrigation Division on Saturday announced rotation programme due to water shortage at the tail-end of Nusrat Branch System. According to schedule, the Chhan Babu Distry will remain closed from July 21 to 28, whereas the Shahpur Distry, Dholu Distry, Abdul Hussain Minor and the DOs of Amerji Branch from July 22 to 29.—Correspondent
