PESHAWAR, March 8: Forty-one outlaws were arrested and a huge quantity of weapons seized in a police operation in Badhber area on Friday.

Police officials informed that the seven-hour operation was started at 3am by a party of six station house officers (SHOs) a deputy superintendent of police (Saddar circle).

During raids on various localities and road-block in the Badhber area, six proclaimed offenders, wanted in heinous crimes, were arrested. And 35 others, involved in minor crimes, were also netted.

The police also seized 64 weapons of different calibres including, 7 kalashnikovs, 13 rifles, 17 shotguns, 27 pistols, and 1,200 cartridges. Wakil, son of Farhad, a resident of Mushtarzai was arrested, and 40kg hashish was seized.

In another raid, the Daudzai police arrested a notorious drug paddler, Qadardan, alias Qadray, a resident of Ahmadabad.
