KARACHI, July 18: Taha Mamsa and Usman Aamir claimed five wickets each to spin their respective teams – Zone-III Whites and Zone-II Whites – to victories in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-17 tournament on Tuesday.

Off-spinner Taha Mamsa took five wickets for 37 as Zone-III Whites beat Zone-I Blues by two wickets at the Students Ground.

Taha also made a fine 42 following his five-wicket haul. Tanvir-ul-Haq hit a fine 52 for the winners.

Meanwhile, leg-spinner Usman Aamir bagged five wickets for 22 in Zone-II Whites’ massive 161-run win against Zone-VII Blues at the TMC Ground.

Arsalan Khan scored 65 and Irfan Lodhi 60 as Zone-II Whites piled up 260-6 in 50 overs while batting first. Zone-VII Blues, in reply, crashed to 99 all out in 35.3 overs. Fazal Mohammad made 22. Usman got good support from Fareed Khan, who got 2-28.

In another match played at the KCCA Stadium Zone-IV Blues recorded a six-wicket win over Lasbela District.
