MITHI, July 12: Growers have appealed to President Pervez Musharraf to direct issuance of notification in regard to waiving off loans up to Rs100,000 of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZBTL) in compliance to his announcement made in Naukot on May 5.
Pervez Musharraf announced waiving off loan up to Rs100,000 for Thari growers but relevant functionaries failed to issue a notification in this regard while the ZTBL continue its recovery.
A senior ZTBL official said as the bank did not receive a notification, hence the recovery continued.
