Body flown to Rajanpur

RAJANPUR, July 11: The mortal remains of Abdul Rashid Ghazi and his two colleagues reached Rajanpur by a C-130 plane which landed at the Farid Airbase on Wednesday night. Reports said personnel of the Special Services Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army brought the bodies, which would be taken by road to Rojhan for burial.

Mufti Habibur Rehman Darkhwasti will lead the funeral prayers for Maulana Abdul Rashid, Maulana Ata Muhammad, who was in-charge of Abdullah Bin Ghazi seminary in Rojhan, and Maulana Inamullah, who was in-charge of Jamia Akhtaria, Islamabad.

They will be buried in the courtyard of Abdullah Bin Ghazi seminary at Gudda Narr Mauza in Rojhan tehsil.

A large number of people, including students and teachers of different seminaries from Multan, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Kashmore, Sadiqabad, Dera Ghazi Khan and other areas, reached Gudda Narr Mauza to attend the funeral prayers.

Maulana Wahab, the cousin of Abdul Rashid Ghazi, said that three sisters of Abdul Rashid, including Umme Farooq, and the wife and daughter of his brother Maulana Abdul Aziz would be reaching Multan by air from where they would proceed to Rojhan by road to attend the rites.
