DADU, July 11: Floodwaters headed towards the Maddo area after inundating over 100 villages on Wednesday.

Mirza Qaleech Baig, Inayat Chandio, Mohammed Aliwal, Sodho, Rabban Soomro and Noor Mohammed Brohi villages have been severely affected.

A number of families were shifting to safe places on their own.

Meanwhile, water coming from Balochistan was developing pressure on the dyke at Maddo. Irrigation officials claimed that they had arranged bulldozers and other machinery to cope with any eventuality.
