PESHAWAR, July 7: The Capital City Police on Friday arrested seven proclaimed offenders and seized weapons during a late night operation. The operation was launched on the directives of Capital City Police Officer Abdul Majeed Marwat and SSP Operations Tahir Khan in the jurisdictions of all police stations of the Peshawar district.

Those arrested were wanted by police in several cases of murder, attempt-to-murder, robbery and drug peddling. The arrests took place in the jurisdictions of Bhana Mari police station, Shah Qabool police station, Badabair police station, Mathra police station and East Cantonment police station.

Weapons and other contraband seized included one Kalashnikov, two rifles, two shot-guns, 12 pistols of 30 bore and 135 rounds of ammunition.—APP
