SBA to promote boxing in Sindh

Published July 6, 2007

KARACHI, July 5: Sindh Boxing Association (SBA) will discuss ways and means to promote boxing by inviting former Olympian and international boxers at Lyari Labour Welfare Centre on Friday.

SBA secretary Ali Akbar Shah said in a statement that apart from sincere former boxers, officials of five Karachi district associations, local coaches and referee judges, would also be invited.

The meeting, which will be an informal gathering, will be presided over by senior vice-president Abid Hussain Brohi.

The suggestions at the meeting will help SBA prepare future programmes for the promotion of the game in Sindh in general and Karachi in particular, said the secretary.
