Nazim writes against his deputy

TOBA TEK SINGH, July 5: District Nazim Chaudhry Abdul Sattar has written to provincial government on Thursday against District Naib Nazim Chaudhry Khalid Sardar over a controversial district council resolution.

In his letter to Punjab Local Government and Community Development Department, he pointed out that Chaudhry Khalid Sardar illegally added resolution No 41 in the June 14 proceedings in violation of the laid-down agenda.

He claimed that a majority of the members had got angry and rejected the resolution. They also took out a protest rally outside the office of the DCO.

CAR STOLEN: A local trader’s car was stolen on Wednesday night from the low income housing colony No.1.

Mian Tariq Mahmood informed city police that he parked his new Honda car (LWB 2352) worth Rs 1.2 million outside his home and found it missing on Thursday morning.
