U-15 football enters last-8 stage

LAHORE, July 4: Khanewal's Crown Club joined Sindh Reds, Punjab Reds, Wohaib Club, Lahore, Punjab Greens, Afghan Club, Northern Areas and Balochistan Reds in the quarter-finals of the 6th edition of national U-15 football championship-2007 in Khanewal.

Crown club managed to finish second behind Sindh Reds in Group-C. They mustered three points as compared to Sindh's six while Balochistan Whites were ousted without a point.

Crown Club defeated Balochistan Whites 2-1.

Ahmed Faheem (32nd minute), slammed the ball into the net. Balochistan's midfielder Abdul Waheed drew level in the 49th minute before the winners's Shahbaz struck in the 69th minute to seal the fate of the match.

Quarter Finals Schedule:

Punjab Reds v Crown Club (Khanewal), Sindh Reds v Afghan Club, Chaman, Punjab Green vs Wohaib Club, Lahore, Northern Areas vs Balochistan Reds.
