Robbers injure car rider

LAHORE, June 30: Four robbers injured a man and deprived him of his valuables in the Nawankot area on Saturday. Police said the robbers intercepted Muhammad Akbar in Sanda, entered his car (LWM-9673) at gunpoint, snatched cash and cell phone and forced him out of his car at Bakkar Mandi.

They hit Akbar with pistol butts when he put up resistance and drove awau with the vehicle.

Two outlaws intercepted Ahsan Khaliq at gunpoint in Sattokatla and deprived him of cash, cell phone and his car (LWF-1602).

Two gunmen took away cash and cell phone from a shop in Madina Colony, Shalimar, while as many robbers came to a cigarette shop on GT Road in Manawan and snatched cash and cell phone from the owner.

THEFT: Thieves broke into the house of Rashid Afzal at Ghosia Colony in Factory Area and took away cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs300,000.

STOLEN: Four cars were stolen from Muslim Town, north cantonment, Gulberg and Shadbagh, one Suzuki Carry from New Anarkali and five motorcycles from Millat Park, Shalimar, Qila Gujjar Singh, Shadman and Main Market of Gulberg.
