MIRAMSHAH, June 28: Three suspected militants were blown up while planting a improvised bomb in the Datakhel Tehsil area of the North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday night, according to an official.

The official told Dawn on Thursday that the explosion occurred near Doga when three militants were planting an explosive device along the road.

He said that a military convoy was scheduled to pass through the road but later its route was changed.

Officials said that the militants belonged to the tribal area. He said that their bodies were taken to Miramshah, the agency headquarters, but he declined to disclose their identity.
