More travails of train travel

LAHORE, June 25: Eleven trains arrived two to 12 hours late at the Lahore railway station from Karachi on Monday because of what railway officials called bad weather in Sindh.

Korakaram Express arrived in Lahore over 12 hours late.

Its scheduled arrival in

Lahore is 8:30am but it arrived at 8pm.

Karachi Express arrived in Lahore at 5:45pm instead of its time of 11:30am, Jinnah Express 8:50pm instead of 3:40pm, Allama Iqbal Express 5pm instead of 10:40am, Tezgam 6pm instead of 1:40pm, Awam Express at 9:55am instead of 7:45am, Sindh Express at 9pm instead of 12noon, Nishtar Express 7:45pm instead of 3:40pm.

Farid Express and Khyber Mail did not arrive in Lahore till the filing of the report. A Civil Aviation Authority official said all but one flights to and from Karachi had been on time.

Only one Lahore-bound flight of Airblue landed back at Karachi owing to bad weather, the official said.
