ATTOCK, June 25: A man committed suicide over some family dispute in Jand area, while one person was killed after being hit by a train near Jaffar village Sunday evening, the Fatehjang police said.

Faisal Zaman, 25, a resident of Farooque Azam locality in Jand, reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol after exchange of harsh words with his wife over some family dispute.

Safdar Khan, a resident of Targar village, was hit by a Rawalpindi-bound train coming from Kohat when he was crossing the track near Jaffar village.

As a result, he sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital but could not survive.

FIVE INJURED: Five persons were injured in two road accidents in Attock district.

Four persons sustained injuries when a coach, which was moving towards Jand from Attock, collided with a tractor trolley near Dhoke Gama on Attock-Basal Road.

Meanwhile, Umar Khatab, a resident of Swat district, sustained injuries when his pick-up (TR-9858) loaded with chickens fell in a ditch near Akhori village on Attock-Fatehjang road on Monday.
