Prayer leader held for blasphemy

KASUR, June 21: A prayer leader allegedly committed blasphemy and distributed literature containing blasphemous remarks in Chak 65, Kot Radha Kishan, on Thursday.

Abdul Aleem allegedly distributed pamphlets in the area which annoyed the villagers. Later, some villagers visited him to confirm whether he had distributed the literature. The accused reportedly owned the literature.

The villagers contacted police which registered a case under Section 295 C and sent him to judicial lock-up. — Correspondent
