Azeempura Gym, New Star CC win

KARACHI, June 15: Azeempura Gymkhana beat New Karachi Rangers Cricket Club by six wickets in Pak-China Gold Cup cricket tournament the other day at Tooba Ground.

Due to Kamran’s deadly bowling, New Karachi Rangers could only post 167 before being dismissed. Later, Azeempura Gymkhana chased the target easily, losing only four wickets. Lal Kumar (75) was the highest scorer for the victors.

Meanwhile, New Star Cricket club registered a five-wicket win against Bright Cricket Club at the Airport Stadium.

Batting first, Bright CC totalled 219-7 in the stipulated 40 overs. The target was achieved by the New Star CC with five wickets remaining. —Agencies
