PESHAWAR, June 15: Temperatures came down in the southern and upper parts of the NWFP as a rainy spell began here on Friday.

The local Met office on Friday forecasted rain during the next 24 hours in the provincial metropolis.

Karak, Kohat, Hangu, Darra Adam Khel, Orakzai and Kurram Agencies received rain on Thursday night.

Reports of showers were also received from Malakand division and other adjoining areas of upper NWFP.

The Met office reported 39 degrees Celsius here on Friday.
