PESHAWAR, June 15: The NWFP government on Friday notified posting and transfers of senior police officers.

Nowshera DPO Tahir Khan has been posted as SSP (operations) Peshawar, while he has been replaced by Qazi Jamilur Rehman, SSP (investigations) Peshawar.

Peshawar SSP (operations) Mohammad Iftikhar has been transferred and posted as the chief security officer of the chief minister.

Sadiq Kamal who was previously posted as the chief security officer of the chief minister’s squad has been made AIG (telecommunications).

Swat SP (investigations) Zaibullah Khan has been posted as the Swabi DPO, while Swabi DPO Dar Ali Khattak has been transferred and posted as the Bannu DPO.

Peshawar Cantt SP Abdul Ghafoor Afridi has been posted as SSP (investigations) Mardan. He has been replaced as SP Cantt by Mohammad Ijaz Khan, ASP Hayatabad.

Mardan SSP (investigations) Ghulam Hussain has been posted as SSP (investigations) Peshawar.

Battagram DPO Waqif Khan has been posted as the Lakki Marwat DPO, whereas Bannu DPO Mazharul Haq Kakakhel has been posted as the Swat DPO.

Chitral DPO Mir Kalam Khan has been transferred to Battagram in the same post.
