LAHORE, June 13: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Dr Nasim Ashraf has served a legal notice through his lawyer on Senator Enver Baig for using derogatory remarks against him in a section of the press.

In an eight-page legal notice issued on Wednesday, Dr Nasim also showed intention that a separate legal notice for damages claim against Enver for repeatedly defaming the office of the chairman and maligning the PCB as an organisation.

The legal notice also warned the senator, stating: “In case you fail to make the retraction and public apology, for which is published in national newspapers within 14 days of the receipt of this notice then Dr Nasim shall be constrained to file a case against you in a court of law for retraction of the statement, public apology and for damages, which may extend to rupees one hundred million, apart from initiating other legal proceedings in accordance with the law against you.”
