GUJRANWALA, June 12: The anti-terrorism court No 2 on Tuesday took serious notice of the NAB’s failure to produce Sibtul Hasan Shah alias Double Shah in the court for the seventh time and charge sheet against him by police and ordered to produce the accused along with charge sheet on Wednesday (today).

The court also summoned SP investigation.

Earlier, the public prosecutor raised an objection that an officer of the rank of SP could not investigate the case by himself. The court ordered that a joint team of NAB and police should conduct the investigation.

SI arrested: A sub-inspector of Islamabad police who came to the city to arrest three alleged dacoits was arrested on the orders of a district and sessions judge for misbehaving with the court superintendent here on Tuesday.

SI Shabbir visited superintendent Allah Ditta Mehar and asked him to hand him over accused Noor, Gulfam and Maqbool as they were wanted in a dacoity case.

The superintendent got information about the accused from the jail superintendent who told him that the accused were remanded in the Sabzi Mandi police custody by a court. They could not be handed over to any other investigating officer till the expiry of their remand, the jailer added. On it, SI Shabbir became infuriated and humiliated the superintendent.

When district and sessions judge came to know about the incident he ordered his arrest.
