LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), June 11: Fata Health authorities have transferred three doctors and removed another three hospital staff members from their positions at the Agency Headquarters Hospital Landi Kotal for negligence and corruption, officials said.

The Fata Health Directorate, upon the recommendations of an inquiry committee, transferred Dr Lal Zar to South Waziristan while services of Dr Azam were placed at the disposal of the directorate after the two were found guilty of refusing to conduct surgeries and abstaining from their duties at the officially stipulated time.

Another doctor, Liaqat Ali, was transferred to Lowara Maina in Jamrud tehsil after he refused to adhere to the instructions of the hospital authorities.

Road Blocked: Residents of Ali Masjid on Monday blocked the main Peshawar-Torkhum highway in protest against the load-shedding of electricity in their area.

The road remained closed for nearly three hours.

The residents said that they were protesting against load-shedding of electricity and shortage of water.
