HARIPUR, June 7: A man was shot dead while his daughter was injured on Thursday morning when their enemies opened fire on them in village Kalinjar, some 45km from here.

A property dispute could be behind the attack, police said.

Khalabat Township police said that one Fazal Elahi, son of Behram Khan, was at his home when Fayyaz, Niaz and Khanvez, who were reportedly his close relatives, broke into his house and opened fire on him.

His daughter, Naureen, tried to rescue her father but she got injured in the shooting. The victims were taken to the DHQ Hospital Haripur where the doctors pronounced Fazal dead.
