KHAAR (Bajaur Agency), June 7: A government high school was closed on Thursday after its vice-principal got seriously injured in a clash between two groups said to be rivals in the Utmankhel tehsil of the agency.

Haji Ataullah Khan, 40, vice-principal at the government high school got hurt when the groups started firing from a hilltop at each other in the Ghaniada area, some 10km away from the agency headquarters Khaar.

Mr Khan was taken to the agency headquarters in Khaar but was later shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar because of his critical condition.

The school was closed down indefinitely in protest against the incident and a complaint was filed with the education department.
