ISLAMABAD, June 6: The Trade Union Rights Campaign Pakistan (TURCP) has condemned the suspension PTCL worker union leader Azad Qadri for issuing a press statement against the company’s plan to retrench some 33,000 employees.

In a meeting here on Wednesday, TURCP along with the union leaders of PWD, Railways, Wapda, PTV, Federal Employees Coordination Council and General Workers Union demanded that the PTCL management should withdraw the show-cause notice served on Mr Qadri.

The union leaders said they were united against any move of PTCL to force its employees to accept premature retirements.
