PESHAWAR, June 4: The auditor general of Pakistan has appointed Himayatullah Khan, a senior officer from the audit and accounts group, as the accountant general of the NWFP.

According to a notification issued here on Monday, Ahmad Rasool Bangash, the former accountant general, has been transferred and posted as the financial adviser of the Pakistan Ordnance Factory Board.

Mr Khan, who has already taken over charge of his new assignment, has served as the additional secretary (planning) for the NWFP, director-general of the district government audit in Lahore, joint secretary of the cabinet division and the Wapda secretary.
