NEW DELHI, June 3: Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has described the results of talks with Pakistan as encouraging.

Mr Mukherjee was in Simla on Sunday to deliver his keynote address at the concluding session of the South Asia Free Media Association.

When asked about improvement of ties between India and Pakistan, he said “talks are going on.” “We have held three rounds of discussions and the results were encouraging.”

He said that various confidence building measures (CBMs) have been taken on both sides of the Line of Control.—APP
