RAWALPINDI, March 2: An old man died in a hit-and-run near the Faizabad bus-terminal on Saturday.

Mohammad Hanif was crossing a road when a car (IDB-5417) hit him and sped on. The man died on his way to hospital.

The New Town police have registered a case against the unknown driver and launched investigation.

Meanwhile, the city police arrested seven drug pushers from different areas of the city.

The Waris Khan police on a tip-off raided a house at RA Bazaar, which belonged to Ali Zaki, and found 6kg of Charas hidden in a water tank.

A Banni police patrol on suspicion stopped two men, Mohammad Irfan and Muzammil and during checking found 1kg of opium and 2kg of Charas in their possession.—PPI
