ISLAMABAD, May 31: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will preside over a meeting of Corps Commanders here on Friday.

Besides professional matters, the meeting is likely to discuss the ongoing judicial crisis, the May 12 killings in Karachi and the situation arising out of the movement launched by lawyers in support of the Chief Justice.

The overall security situation in the country, the situation on the border with Afghanistan and Afghan government’s allegations about Pakistan’s alleged support to Al Qaeda, are also expected to be discussed.

Militarty sources dispelled an impression that it was an emergency meeting and said it was a routine meeting.
