Mother, infant die in accident

SHEIKHUPURA, May 29: A woman and her infant daughter were killed while her three other children suffered injuries after falling from a moving tractor trolley near bypass, some four kilometres from here, on Tuesday.

Ashraf, a resident of Kalpi village, and his wife Nasrin, an infant daughter, and three children Akram, Amin and Amina, were on way home by a tractor trolley from city. The wooden floor of the trolley came off near the bypass as a result of which the family fell on the road. Nasrin, her infant daughter died on way to hospital while Akram, Amin and Amina sustained injuries and admitted to the DHQ hospital.

ROBBERY: Four highwaymen intercepted four trucks near Dhantpura on Sargodha Road and deprived the drivers of cash, cell phones and other valuables.

The victims are Haq Nawaz, Salamat, Bashir and Allah Yar.

Sheikhupura Saddar police are investigating.
