ISLAMABAD, May 29: The Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue on Tuesday constituted a nine-member sub-committee to examine the proposed changes, amendment in the

Anti-money Laundering Bill, 2006.

The decision was taken in the committee meeting headed by its Chairman Ch. Anwar Ali Cheema, MNA, to discuss the bill.

The sub-committee to be headed by MNA Sardar Nasruallah Dreshak would examine proposed changes, amendments recommended by the committee and incorporated by the ministry of finance in the said bill.

The committee has been directed to finalise these changes within 15 days so that it could be presented to the National Assembly for passage.

Earlier, minister of state for finance and revenue and governor State Bank briefed the Committee about the bill in question.

The Committee was of the view that this bill has already been discussed clause by clause in the previous meetings and the amendments/changes proposed by the committee have been incorporated in the bill.
