KARAK, May 28: The Tehsil Municipal Administration, Karak, demolished cabins and kiosks during an anti-encroachment drive in the town on Monday. The TMA also closed down an illegal bus stand near the Niazi Well stop on the Indus Highway.

Tehsil Municipal Officer Noor Shahbaz Khattak along with police carried out the operation against encroachments.

The TMO said that the administration launched the drive against had encroachments after a decision of the Tehsil council.

He said that the drive was started from the Niazi Well stop on complaints by residents and it would continue till the removal of encroachments on both sides of the highway.

He said that drivers and owners of public transport had been directed to use the general bus stand.
