KARACHI, May 26: Tahir Mahmood and Ali Asad hit contrasting centuries in the KCCA Inter-club Super League Cricket Championship on Friday.

Tahir blasted an attacking 105 with five fours and four sixes and Bilal Ahmed got 77 with seven fours as Al-Mansoora CC defeated AO Cricket Club by 54 runs at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.

Al-Mansoora CC reached 287-5 in their 50 overs. AO CC, in reply, were bowled out for 233 in the 41st over. Shahid Ayub hit a defiant 89 with nine boundaries. Tahir Mahmood followed his century with 3-25.

Meanwhile, Pakistan under-19’s opener Ali Asad hammered 101 with eight fours but his side Mir Sports went down by six wickets against Tapal Cricket Club at the KCCA Stadium.

Babar Rehman scored a match-winning 51 with five hits to the boundary while Akif Alvi and Ahmed Zeeshan Malik both contributed 38 each.
