More gastro patients at Nishtar

MULTAN, May 25: As many as 518 more gastroenteritis patients were treated at the Nishtar Hospital’s emergency ward during the last eight days (May 17-24). The number of gastro patients admitted by the hospital since May 7 had risen to 1014.

HEPATITIS: City district nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar would open a special hepatitis control programme at Pilot Secondary School here on May 29 to offer blood screening and vaccination facilities to the people.

The programme would initially focus government and private schools where blood screening of school boys and girls would take place for hepatitis C and B and those tested negative for hepatitis B would be offered vaccination as a protective shield. — APP
