KARACHI, May 18: Zubair Ali displayed all-round performance as KASB Bank defeated Meezan Bank by 17 runs in an Inter-bank cricket tournament match here at the UBL Sports Complex on Thursday.

Due to Zubair’s sizzling 77 that contained ten boundaries, KASB Bank, batting first, posted 236-4 in the allotted 25 overs. Babar Naqvi, who smashed six fours in his 57, was the second highest scorer for the winners. Kashif Aziz and Kamran captured two wickets apiece for the Meezan Bank.

In reply, Meezan Bank were dismissed for 219 in 24.1 overs with Ammar Farooqi and Kashif Aziz being the main scorers with 58 runs each. Zubair, who played a swashbuckling innings earlier, took four wickets for 29 while Sarosh Khan grabbed 3-23. —PPI
