KARACHI, May 11: As many as twelve departmental outfits would vie for top honours in the Aga Khan University (AKU) cricket tournament getting underway here from Saturday at AKU Sports Center Ground.

The participating teams have been divided in Pool A and Pool B with top two teams from each group entering the semifinals after the round matches that will be played on league basis. U-fone will take on AKU Faculty/Staff in the opening match of the tournament.

Teams: POOL (A): Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, Pakistan PTA, Roche Pakistan, Tapal Energy, AKU 'A'

POOL (B): NIB Bank, U-fone, Dubai Islamic Bank, Citibank, Engro Pakistan, AKU Faculty/Staff.—PPI
