MANSEHRA, May 11: A teenaged girl was killed and her younger sister injured late on Thursday when lightning struck their house in the Dodhal village, some 20km from here, police told Dawn.
It is learnt that the two sisters — Memona Bibi, 13, and Zareena Bibi, 11 (daughters of Gul Rehman) — were sleeping when lightning struck their house during a severe thunderstorm.
Memona was killed on the spot while Zareena was injured. Zarina was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
