LAHORE, May 9: A boy was killed and six others, including two children, injured in two roof collapse incidents following a windstorm in the city on Wednesday. The wall of a three-storey under-construction building fell on an adjacent house in Qasimpura, Gulberg. As a result, its roof collapsed and Bashir, 45, his wife Safia, 40, and two children — Ali Raza, 7, and one-and-half-a-year old Sabeeha — buried under the debris.

Rescue 1122, Edhi ambulances and police rushed to the spot and pulled them out from the debris and took them to Services Hospital where Raza was pronounced dead.

In another incident, Anwar’s wife and two children were injured when the roof caved in. — Staff Reporter
