KHAIRPUR, May 8: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) has call upon the Sindh government to immediately transfer the DCO of Khairpur district, says a press release. The decision to call for the transfer was taken at a meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Sindh’s Naib Ameer of the JUI, Maulana Mir Mohammad Meerak.

The meeting alleged that the DCO was involved in igniting sectarian disputes and was also responsible for religious wall chalking in Khairpur.

PROCESSION: A large number of teachers took out a procession on Tuesday against late payment of salaries, every month.

The procession was taken out under the aegis of the Primary Teachers’ Association.
