DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 30: An under-investigation youth died at Saddar Police Station on Monday night. Police claimed the accused committed suicide in the lock-up while his relatives refuted the police’s claim and alleged he was killed by police.

Initial medical report revealed the accused had been shot at close range.

Relatives said Raza was picked by Saddar police two weeks ago for motorcycle snatching. They said police had tortured Raza, 20, to death.

Saddar police claimed the accused committed suicide by firing on his forehead.

District Police Officer Inkisar Ali Khan suspended Saddar Station House Officer Ali Mohammed, Sub-Inspector Zafar Iqbal, Mohammed Qasim and Hafeezullah and a case under Police Order 155-D was registered against the suspended policemen.
