MANSEHRA, April 29: Three people, including a father and his son, were killed when their truck fell into the Indus in Kohistan on Sunday, police told Dawn.

They said the truck was on its way from Gilgit to Abbottabad when driver Akhtar Hussain Shah lost control while negotiating a sharp turn near Manda village of the Kohistan district and the vehicle plunged into the river. Akhtar Hussein Shah, son Khalid Hussein Shah and truck cleaner Aqil were killed on the spot.

Kohistan district police officer told this correspondent by telephone that three bodies had been recovered with the help of locals and sent to Abbottabad.
