Youth strangled by four boys

TOBA TEK SINGH, April 27: A youth was strangled to death on Friday by four boys for barring them from teasing girls of his family at Chak 185-GB.

Rajana police said that Pervaiz Abbas would often reprimand accused Imran, Allah Nawaz, Suhaib and Tasawwar Kaleem for teasing girls of his family working at a dairy farm. To take revenge, the four accused came to the dairy farm, overpowered Pervaiz Abbas and strangled him with a piece of cloth. Police said that raids were on for the arrest of the accused.

Police have registered a case against the accused on the complaint of Ghulam Abbas, elder brother of the deceased.

HUNGER CAMP: Local lawyers continued the hunger strike camp on the 40th consecutive day on Friday to condemn the suspension of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

Former DBA president Iqbal Butt and senior lawyer Saleem Ansari observed the hunger strike. The hunger strike camp was also set up at the Gojra tehsil barroom. Advocates Mian Naseer Ahmad, Sardar Nasir and Raghib Shahzad observed the hunger strike.
