PESHAWAR, April 26: The Capital City Police on Thursday recovered one Wajid who had been kidnapped more than 20 days ago.

According to a press release, Wajid’s brother Javed had accused brothers Ali Jan and Mehmood Jan of the kid-napping which took place on April 5.

The CCPO Abdul Majeed Marwat ordered the SSP Peshawar, Haji Iftikhar Khan, to recover the man safely.

The SSP constituted a joint raiding team of personnel from Regi and Pishtakhera police stations and raided a building on the Ring Road and recovered Wajid.

However, the kidnappers managed to escape.

In another raid, the Pishtakhera police claimed to have recovered a motorcycle in the Spin Jumaat area which was handed over to its owner.

The motorcycle was snatched on April 24.

The CCPO announced a cash reward and commendation certificates for police officers and jawans taking part in the raid for the safe recovery of Wajid.—APP
