Two die as jeep falls into ravine

MANSEHRA, April 26: Two people were killed and three others injured when a passenger jeep fell into a deep ravine in Balakot on Thursday, police said.

They said the driver lost control over the vehicle while it was negotiating a sharp turn in Sandor. Mohammad Zaman and Zeenatun Nisa died in the accident.

The injured, driver Abdul Gani, Noor Jahan and Shahjahan, were taken to the Balakot Civil Hospital from where they were shifted to the Ayub Medical Complex.

Meanwhile, Tosif was killed and his brothers Naseer and Toqir Ahmad Shah were injured when five men opened indiscriminate fire on them over a minor dispute. The injured were taken to a hospital.
