HYDERABAD, April 26: Keeping in view problems being faced by the people of Hyderabad, District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work on some development schemes.

He directed the consultant and the contractors to speed up the development work.

He issued these instructions on Wednesday while inspecting the on-going work on water pipeline being laid on both sides of Risala Road from Hyder Chowk to Café George.

He directed completion of work in 4-5 days to enable the authorities to begin construction of roads. He also inspected the under construction pumping station in Sheedi Goth Qasimabad taluka.

He directed the consultant, the contractor and concerned officials to complete the work on pumping station before monsoon begins. He also ordered completion of work on Hala Naka and Paretabad filter plants without any delay.

Kanwar Naveed Jamil also inspected the development work on Qazi Abdul Qayoom road, Al-Raheem Centre road, sewerage pipeline in Latifabad unit No 8 and the construction of bridges on Phulelli and line channel. He stressed the need on completion of work on flyover between city and Latifabad talukas for smooth flow of traffic.

Deputy Project Director, Hyderabad Development Package, Kafeel Ahmed, members of the District Works and Services Committee, Chief Resident Engineer of Usmani and Company, Niaz Ali Shar, nazims of the concerned union councils and officials of the district government accompanied the district nazim during the inspection tour.
