PESHAWAR, April 25: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company will launch a campaign from Thursday to recover Rs1,285.41 million outstanding against federal and provincial departments in the NWFP.

A meeting held here on Wednesday took the decision after reviewing the overall position of dues recovery, a Pesco spokesman told Dawn.

The spokesman said Rs723.68 million was outstanding against federal departments and Rs561.73 million against provincial government departments. He said the defaulters were first given a deadline of April 18 and then the date was extended to April 25, but most of the departments failed to clear their dues.

Pesco teams will start power disconnection campaign from Thursday.
