Tea seller shot dead

LAHORE, April 24: A 60-year-old tea seller was shot dead for the reason yet to be known in the Ravi Road police area on Tuesday.

Police said Khalid Husain alias Doctor was present in his tea stall opposite the Data Nagar bridge when Abdul Jabbar of Mohammadia Colony, Badami Bagh, came to him and opened fire.

Khalid, who was unmarried and had been living at a rented place in Badami Bagh for the last 16 years, died on the spot and the accused managed his escape.

According to the Ravi Road police, the accused often used to visit Khalid but the exact reason of murder could not be ascertained. —Staff Reporter
