QUETTA, April 21: One person was killed and three others were injured in an explosion on Saturday in the Vash area of Chaman which borders Afghanistan.

According to official sources, the explosion took place in a scrap dump. Body parts of the man who was killed spread in the area, said Dad Mohammad, who was injured in the blast and taken to the Chaman Civil Hospital.

Except Dad Mohammad, the three other victims were Afghans running business in the area. Afghan border authorities took the injured to Spin Boldak for treatment.

Sources said another explosion took place late Friday night in a trailer carrying military vehicles for the allied forces in Afghanistan.

“The bomb had been planted in a vehicle loaded in the trailer,” an Afghan official told reporters in Chaman by telephone. The vehicle was damaged in the blast.
