KARACHI, April 20: Pakistan Veterans suffered a massive 109-run defeat at the hands of Jaipur veterans in the first one-dayer of the tour on Friday in Jaipur.

Jaipur veterans, after being put into bat first, posted a huge 266-4 in the allotted 35 overs. Parvinder Singh and Sanjay Vyas scored 39 each while Anil Sinha (34) and Abdul Saeed (33) were the other main scorers.

In reply, Pakistan Veterans were bundled out for only 157 in 28.3 overs. Rafiq Ghani (37) and Irfan Khan (30) were the only batsmen to resist a bit from the tourists side. Abdul Saeed (3-31) was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts and was named man of the match for his all-round performance.

Pakistan Veterans will now meet Delhi Veterans in the second one-dayer on Sunday at Delhi’s Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium. —Agencies
