LAHORE, April 18: The Punjab University Academic Staff Association observed a black day on Wednesday to express its solidarity with the nonfunctional cief justice of Pakistan and the lawyers’ community.
The varsity faculty performed duties in their respective departments while wearing black armbands.
Talking to Dawn, PUASA president Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Salik said the whole faculty observed the black day and wanted to go beyond it.
He said the faculty demanded that the government should accept all demands of the lawyers’ community.
Dr Salik said the PUASA general body meeting would be held on April 24 to discuss the suspended CJP issue and decide the further course of action for the university faculty. — Staff Reporter
