RAWALPINDI, April 18: Taking strong exception to violation of court orders by the superintendent of the Adiala Jail, the district and sessions judge Rawalpindi issued him a show-cause notice.

The district and sessions judge, Chaudhry Imtiaz, issued the show-cause notice to the superintendent and summoned him to the court on April 26, 2007.

The notice was issued for the superintendent’s failure to furnish details about the presence of a drug dealer, Muhammad Azeem, in jail. The case against the drug dealer had been filed in the Gunj Mandi police station.—Online
